The Montargis Forest
Red oak, beech, hornbeam and Scots pines are the dominant trees in this fine forested massif covering over 4000 hectares. Game species such as roe deer, stags and boar - as well as a multitude of forest birds - flourish among its wealth of plants. Saint-Louis hunted here, but today the forest is a haven for ramblers who explore its paths through the fruit of several centuries of forest management and development.
